Here are some new eateries to check out around Union County.

1117 South Ave W. Westfield, NJ 07090

Westfield just got a taste of authentic barbecue with the opening of J.Bone's Barbecue on South Avenue West. Founded by Jordan J. Mallari, a former producer of BBQ Pitmasters, this new spot brings the smoky, savory magic of brisket, ribs, and pulled pork to Union County. With its mouthwatering sides like mac and cheese and cornbread, it’s the perfect addition to the local dining scene. Currently it’s only open from Friday through Sunday, 11am to 8pm (though they close when they are sold out).

2186 Elizabeth Ave. Rahway, NJ 07065

Located in Rahway, Latin Fuego is a vibrant eatery offering a fusion of Latin American flavors. Their diverse menu includes breakfast burritos, arepa sandwiches, tacos, and quesadillas, catering to both early risers and lunch seekers. Open Monday through Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Thursday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Latin Fuego provides dine-in, takeout, and delivery options.

Ugly Dumpling is a contemporary Chinese eatery inspired by Shanghai's vibrant street food scene, has opened its doors in Linden.
